In March 2020, the base library faced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As closure plans were finalized, staff faced uncertainties about reassignments. Over the following months, the library navigated reopening phases, participated in virtual programs, and adapted to changing COVID-19 protocols. Challenges persisted, including staff reassignments, limited seating, and evolving mask mandates. The library eventually resumed in-person programming but faced setbacks due to the Delta variant, resulting in restrictions and adjustments as late as 2021. Through it all our amazing staff continued to support the MCBH community in every possible capacity.
