Borrowing materials from the Library is easy...all it takes is a Library card!
All eligible patrons (Marines, other service personnel and their families, Reservists and Retirees, DoD Civilians, and DoD Contractors stationed on or near MCRD) may register to receive an MCRD San Diego Library card.

MCRD San Diego Library card holders can borrow:
• Unlimited Books, Audiobooks, and Playaways
• 10 DVDs
• 2 Video games, 2 Launchpads
• 1 Take and Learn Kit
All items check out for 3 weeks unless marked otherwise. Items may be renewed for another 2 check out periods (for a total of 9 weeks), unless another patron has placed a hold on an item and is waiting for it to be returned.

Patrons may reserve MCRD San Diego items through the Library's website or Circulation Desk. If the MCRD San Diego Library doesn't have a particular item, staff can check other military bases and request the item through the Interlibrary Loan system.
