ALOHA to Hawai’i!

First, a little history lesson.

The earliest inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands were Polynesians from the Marquesas Islands.
Ancient Hawai'i was a caste-based society developed by Polynesians.
The Kingdom of Hawai'i came into being in 1795,
when the islands were united under one ruler, King Kamehameha.
Then in 1893, there was a coup led by an American sugar plantation holder, Dole, and with the
prior knowledge of U.S. Government Minister of the Kingdom of Hawai'i, John L. Stevens.
They illegally removed the ruling monarch of the time, Queen Lili'uokalani,
from her throne to gain control over the islands and its sugar industry.
Until 1898, Hawai'i was an independent republic.
It became a U.S. territory, despite opposition from most native Hawaiians,
and then the 50th state in 1959.
