Shelfari is Amazon's online social cataloging site which allows users to build a virtual bookshelf. Members can rate, review, tag and discuss books with other users. Members can also join other groups and discuss topics of common interests with other users. Like Wikipedia, the Shelfari catalog may be edited by users. Changes must be approved by a Shelfari “librarian” though.

Launched in 2005, LibraryThing is a a full-powered social cataloging platform cataloging and sharing bibliographic data and building library collections. It has more than 1,500,000 users and over 70 million books. As a large book club, LibraryThing builds its catalog using Amazon, the Library of Congress and over 700 libraries around the world, including the Library of Congress. It helps users find new books or connect with other people with similar tastes.

Prezi is a collaborative presentation application. It uses on a single large canvas to build conceptual maps to show how ideas relate to one another. The presentations are a series of choreographed moves, zooms, and pivots across the main canvas. Unlike traditional presentations which proceed in a linear fashion, a Prezi-based presentation can break out at any point to get a look at the big picture, revisit an earlier subject, or take a detour into an optional area of the presentation.
