Small Business Registration

This guide will help MCBH residents with the process of creating a small business in the state of Hawaii, registering the business on base with MCCS, and gaining approval with 'Ohana Hunt Military Communities.

 

Once you have created your small business, there are some steps to maintaining the business throughout the year.  Some registrations, certifications, and applications must be renewed annually.  Some businesses will be subject to inspections.  More information about maintaining your business is provided below.  It has been separated by the entities responsible for each requirement.

 

Licenses for the State of Hawaii will need renewals.  This can be done through your eHawaii.gov account here.

Food Establishment permits must be renewed annually.  The Food Safety Class only needs renewed every 3 years.  

 

Before January 31st of each year, a Request for Authorization to Continue Operations must be submitted to the Office of Staff Judge Advocate.  The form is included in Enclosure (2) of the MCBH Order 5760.3C.

 

Appropriate licenses and certifications need to be updated with your RSO annually.
