Quick Slicing Guide

Some recommended settings based on how we slice files for 3D printing here at the Makerspace room

Extruder:

Nozzle diameter: 0.40mm (depending on the actual nozzle diameter installed)

Extrusion width: 1.00

Layer: 

Layer height: 0.15mm to .025mm

Top and Bottom Solid Layers: 3

Outline/Perimeter shells: 2

First Layer Width: 200%

First Layer Speed: 25%

Addition:

Use skirt/brim (if enabled)

Skirt layers: 1

Skirt offset from part: 0.00mm

Skirt outlines: 5

Infill:

Internal infill pattern: Rectilinear

Interior fill percentage: 20%

Support:

Generate support material (if enabled)

Support infill percentage: 10 -15%

Dense support layers: 3

Dense infill percentage: 70%

Horizontal offset from part: 0.20mm

Upper vertical separation layer: 2

Lower vertical separation layer: 1

Temperature: (depending on filament type)

Primary extruder: 220 

Heated bed: 60 

Speeds:

Default printing speed: 65mm/s

Advanced:

External thin wall type: Allow single extrusion walls

Internal thin wall type: Allow single extrusion fill

Enable Avoid crossing outline for travel movements

Enable heal for non-manifold segments
