We all know it: dinosaurs are cool. So cool, in fact, that many picture books use them for their main characters.

For factual, this is how the real dinosaurs were kinds of books, look for SCIENCE PALEO (for Paleontology, the study of fossils) in the nonfiction section; you'll see mostly dinosaurs, but also a few other prehistoric creatures. (Did you know that technically, pteranodon and other flying reptiles aren't dinosaurs? Don't worry. You'll find them in that section anyway.) 

Many of our dinosaur titles are picture books, though, and not sorted by subject. That's where this guide comes in. For books that give you all the dinosaurs without the prehistory or too much of the multi-syllable Greek-derived names (...mostly), look below.
