James Halliday, age 68, died August 1, 2040 after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 12, 1972 in Middletown Ohio, the son of Mary and William Halliday. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1993. He was the owner of Gregarious Simulation Systems and creator of the OASIS virtual reality system. He was predeceased by his parents. A service of remembrance will be held August 7 at 10am at Gregarious Simulation Systems office building in downtown Columbus.
