UNITED THROUGH READING

Anyday/Anytime Within the Hours of Library Operation

Service members can stay connected with their families throughout a deployment. United Through Reading allows service members who are about to deploy to record themselves reading a story to their loved ones. This program is free of charge and is done in private at the service member's convenience. Please call the library or stop by to set up an appointment.

January

Come out to see the moon and the stars through our cool telescopes.(All Ages)

BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK

Month of February

For the entire month of February, the library will offer wrapped books as blind dates. Go on as many blind-book dates as you can throughout the month, then return them with a short review. Each blind date review you submit enters you into a riffle draw for a chance to win a wonderful prize for two!! (YA and Adults).

LOVE IS IN THE AIR AT THE LIBRARY

Wednesday, February 9, 3:30-4:30 p.m

Celebrate Valentine's Day at the library by creating a special something for your special someone, (Children of  all ages).

STUFFED ANIMAL SLEEPOVER

Drop off your fuzzy friends before 5:00 p.m on Thursday for a sleepover, they will never forget! Pick them up the following day and you might be surprised by what they got into when you were not around. (Children of all ages)

MILITARY KIDS ARE HANDS-ON!

Month of April

Throughout the month of April the library celebrates military children with a series of creative projects!

MAKE A GIFT FOR MOM

Dads, bring your children to the library to create an extra special gift for mom, All materials provided. (Children of all ages)

Moms, bring your children to the library to make a one-of-a-kind, Father's day gift, All materials provided. (Children of all ages)

 

SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Monday, June 19 - Friday, August 11

Come join the library throughout the summer for games, crafts and all kinds of themed fun,Children, young adults, and adults can work towards age-appropriate reading goals all summer long. On August 11, all participants are encouraged to join the library staff in celebrating with a SRP finale!  The finale will be full of fun, games, prizes, and much more, ( All Ages) Registration begins June 12.

NOT-SO-SPOOKY SPOOKTACULAR

October

Wear your costumes to our family-friendly fright night. Take a stroll through our not-so-spooky haunted library, enjoy a ghostly movie, crafts and lots of Halloween fun.

HOLIDAY PROGRAM

December

Join the library this winter and experience the "Wonder" of the holiday season. The evening will being with a showing of the classic cartoon Alice in wonderland while enjoying a ''tea time" treat and making curious crafts. we will wrap up our trip to wonderland with a visit from Santa. (Children of all ages)
